THE JILLIAN BUILD EXPERIENCE
Our goal at Jillian Homes is to eliminate any opportunities for frustration, discouragement, and complication that may arise when building your new home. Management and communication is key to any successful project, and is the mission of our dedicated team. We have established tools and guidelines to ensure that our homeowners have a wonderful experience throughout the entire process, from contract signing to actual move in. First, you will be introduced to your private, personal Jillian Homes web page. The web page will enable you to view photos of your house under construction, a project timeline, your requested changes, and a calendar of events. Your personal web page will also keep you well informed of all updates and progress, especially if you are unable to physically visit your build site. Second, we will assist you in choosing materials, colors, and styles from our wide selection of finishes and fixtures. Third, we will conduct an on-site construction walkthrough with you to explain, educate, and answer any questions you may have about your new home. Finally, we will arrange scheduled meetings to take place at your home on the 6th, 12th, and 18th month after your move in date to conduct a visual inspection and answer any questions that may arise, all part of our “36 Month Bumper to Bumper” warranty.

Our warranty exceeds all other homebuilders, and is included with all Jillian Homes purchases. A dedicated warranty staff member will arrange appointments after you move in at 6, 12, & 18 months to conduct a visual inspection to ensure your complete satisfaction.
QUALITY IN THE WALLS
Foundation
The accuracy and integrity of a foundation and slab is crucial to your new home’s construction. We implement a number of steps to ensure that the slab is accurately poured, placed and level. We begin with multiple verification steps at the formwork phase. This is completed using state-of-the-art laser levels and transits to insure pin point accuracy. We also take the additional steps to verify that all the plumbing under the slab is accurately located. Finally, we exceed industry standards by using stronger concrete and increasing the R-value of slab insulation.
Framing
Straight, plumb, and square are important terms that Jillian Homes is committed to when a house is being framed. However, it doesn’t end there. Particular attention is paid to the framing as early as the home design process. Our homes are designed on increments that ensure materials are used efficiently and waste is minimized. Utilizing advanced framing techniques and procedures, Jillian Homes’ craftsmen insure our building envelopes are airtight. This is the first step in optimizing our insulation processes. These framing techniques and procedures are critical to the overall energy efficiencies of our homes.
Insulation
Insulation is the most important material in the thermal envelope. To be most efficient, the insulating material must completely fill all open cavities. For that reason, we utilize a blown-in insulation that will seal behind and around pipes and wires. We also use spray foam and calking in areas that may be culprits of air leakage. Our insulation package is designed to save you money and increase efficiency. At Jillian Homes we also pay close attention to the windows and doors, utilizing energy efficient products to protect and insulate.
Heating & Cooling
Jillian Homes carries contracting licenses for both the structural building and mechanical trades. We take pride in designing and installing a properly sized system that is supported by appropriately sized ducts and registers. Wherever possible, the ductwork is installed in conditioned space and sealed over several times to ensure air tightness and efficiency. Part of our “Green Certifying” process also requires us to have a third party perform a pressure test on the duct work to insure that the entire duct system is airtight and efficient. This is another important step designed to cut energy cost and save our homeowners money.
Plumbing
Our goal with regards to plumbing is three-fold: no leaks, proper insulation, and practical water conservation. The end result is greater efficiency and dollars saved for our homeowners. We take steps to pressure test pipes for leakage for a number of days. During this time we are constantly monitoring and inspecting for leaks and potential weak areas. We also over insulate the pipes to ensure that the hot water is being utilized in the most efficient manner possible. In addition, we install low usage plumbing fixtures that will save you money on your water bill.
Roofing
The #1 goal of a sound roofing system is to make certain that the weather remains outside. Jillian Homes installs roofs that the homeowner can basically forget about for many years to come. And remember, our “36 Month Bumper to Bumper” warranty, we will be inspecting all areas of the roof at intervals of 6, 12 and 18 months after your move in date.

Finish carpentry, attention to detail, and well-designed space plans are the details that make a house your home. After all, your home is your castle. For most clients, finishing the interior of your home is the most important stage of the construction process. Choosing your trim type, paint, or stain colors; making decisions on cabinets, flooring, plumbing, and electrical fixtures are the finishing touches that completes your home design dream.
